I reckon you're pretty much spot on with that summary Doogsie.

I have been lucky enough to see samples of both Glen Wills and Sunnyside ore and its quite impressive. I can understand Synergy being excited about there being relatively little nugget effect.

The important distinction is that this deposit appears to be a very different beast to that found in Central Vic. The very fact that some of the gold bearing reefs lie in the granites point to a significant deposit geologically speaking. It could well be the case that after 100 or so years of trying, Au mineralisation at Glen Wills is only just recently being understood.

I read somewhere that historically the grades for Glen Wills were around 20g/t and Sunnyside significantly higher. This is encouraging, although I imagine the oldtimers hand picked the eyes out of the ore. This would be impractical in modern times, however with modern mining techniques I imagine that more ore will be able to be extracted, at a lower grade than historical figures.

Overall things are looking good, a mine is probably still a little way off, but becoming closer than ever.
