you might be right, it might also be something that both boards liked the look of and could have been a little selling point for tah in the merger discussions. in which case they might be reluctant to let itq go should the bid be rejected. But my view is the itq takeover is likely small beer compared to their main game right now of merging the two companies. And so they might view it as something they don't want to put the time and energy into if the bid is rejected.
it is really disappointing there were no other suitors.
