bring on merlinleigh

I'm expecting an announcement on Merlinleigh very soon possibly this week. I believe we should see an announcement on the mobilisation of the rig to site anytime now. There is nothing like a bit of positive action and excitement to kick the share price back into gear.

I believe this is a very exciting prospect. We all know there was a hole drilled back in 1966 that intercepted gas in tight sands. If that hole was drilled today you wouldn't abandon the hole, you would frack it to bring the gas to surface. So we know there is gas in this area.

So Merlinleigh is highly prospective for shale gas and is also prospective for conventional targets as well. Not to mention this target is immediately adjacent to the Dampier to Bunbury pipeline. So drilling success here will provide a quick avenue to commercialisation of any economic quantities of gas found.
