Yep it was overpriced at $ 28 and seriously underpriced at $ 12.
The prediction of slightly smaller profit over the next year(maybe) ahead for Caltex and throw in the market jitters at that is where we are at.
Still, with exchange rate sensitivity, the same margins applied to a higher oil price ?
Decrease in demand due domestic economic woes.
Increase in demand due to population increase and strong mining activity and ag production.
Pressure on refined product pricing due to overseas demand changing (up or down ?).
Who knows where profit could go.
