I wouldn't be foolishly chasing carrots by over investing in infrastructure to supply energy to China without gold clad guarantees that the contract would not once again be switched to another country for political, commercial or any other devious reasons. We know how fickle/controlling/demanding they can be and such a move could see us losing ownership of our energy companies for a pittance to foreign powers/companies. We are after all in the middle of a global financial war you know and China does have an openly stated aim of controlling global business in every field.
