Since 1950 this warming is largely/wholly as a result of human activity in particular the increasing levels of C02 in the atmosphere 4. The current temperatures are the highest ever and certainly higher than the Medieval Warming Period, Roman Warming Period and the Minoan Warming Period. 5. If we don't keep temperatures to +1.5 to 2.0 degrees then catastrophe will hit civilisations killing billions and displacing more. Much of the earth will become inhabitable. 6.
