    Do you have any scientific reference for the "accellerating" claim? The most recent 5 years in some datasets shows cooling trend so you would be brave to call it accelerating right now.

    The 30 year trend is accepted as the ideal timescale to really monitor climate (acceptable signal to noise ratio) and all the datasets show that on the 30 year trend (most recent 30 years the trend is about 0.015 degrees per year or about 1.5 degrees C per century - i.e. evidence is that the climatic trend is lower than the optimistic B1 IPCC scenario of 2 degrees C per century. Thats good news.
