you folks would have realised what payday is angling for here, surely - exactly as hanrahan pointed out. payday didn't say he/she wanted to buy BCSCA, he/she said acquire.

its a quick turnaround, grab current holders units (upon a separate payment from the current holder, probably to his/her mum), and in april declare bankruptcy. may not be legal and he/she may come to regret it, but there is a market for a martyr right now, may pay quite well.
