IMO, this is just another case that big players can use their resources to investigate or dig into the issues so that to gain important information regarding any major issues so that they can make their investment decisions more accurately.

In this case, those big Biocryst shareholders contacted biota about the patent issue in order to get more accurate judgement on who will win the patent battle if any.

We may get some clue from BCRX share price. Maybe BCRX major shareholders will buy into Biota Pharma so as to influence the negotiations.

Just my thoughts.
