Maybe, maybe not. I suspect many women are embarrassed by the popular supposition that alleged victims are "unreliable witnesses" and support the basic principle of equality under the law. Since this is a civil case, the burden of proof becomes balance of probability rather than beyond reasonable doubt.
There won't be jail time, as debtors prisons don't exist any more, mores the pity.
