I think revelations of our 'famous Tassie punter's' involvement may have been more harmful to Britbets, having raised a number of industry concerns around transparency & conflict of interest. Further, the 55 race courses currently signed with Britbet are about to meet with a Tote-aligned consortium (Alizeti) and may yet jump ship. If this happens Britbet may not even launch. though Colossus will still likely offer racing products.
Global Tote's deal is with Tote.
