I agree with you about 99%, China is united at this point in time.

Dragging 100's of Millions out of poverty and creating a massive middle class is a cause to celebrate and respect China for. I was in China for business reasons in the late 90's and saw the pent up demand to make money. Upon my return my comment was that there are 2 Billion budding capitalists just waiting to be let loose, soon afterwards they were.

But be aware, those that have made money and the middle class, will not go willingly back to poverty or servitude, having climbed out of poverty they will not accept someone trying to take their hard earned success off them.....that's where China's next problem will come from, when capital moves on. Where will the value come from then to sustain the wealth of the country.

During the financial crisis millions moved back west when the factories closed, rather than go back east when the factories re-opened many stayed and opened their own factories, thereby becoming what they couldn't become before. The factories in the east then had to pay more for their labour and China's prices have been rising ever since. Eventually capital will flow to the next cheap location and away from China. By then China hopes to have transitioned to a more technical and professional value added economy, sound familiar, it should....It's the story of Western countries since the 50's.

We are merely watching China follow a similar path to most western countries.

That has always been the cycle of empires. China will fall again one day as they had been for more than once in the past 5 thousand years, and yet they will eventually rise again. Its nothing new to the Chinese people, unlike the west which has never experienced such a thing, when rome fell, it fell, annihilated. When the byzantine constantinople fell, they fell, never to rise again.

Even in semi- modern days these weak empires such as the brits, spain, france, germans, portugal, japan, terrorist state of america with all their murderous, genocidal intents of colonising others, none r even close to their prime. Brits for one, lost about pretty much 90% of their colonials territorial strength, french, spain with all their exploitation of the eastern expansion, all wiped out.

Then u have a look at everywhere else in the world, middle, northen, eastern, southern asian countries, they have pretty much more or less stayed the same.

Of all that, u come back to China, they r a self sustaining economy with a system of their own.

Its unlike what the garbage u read or heard from other countries, say u use malaysia as an example, if their labor cost rises, u shift to neighbouring countries say thailand, vietnam or whatever. Its not China, when cost rises, it goes to another province, its a country of almost 1.5 bil. It has the combined pop of the ENTIRE western world, it has more population than pretty much the ENTIRE asia combined, minus the obvious india. Ull never get China econ of scale, u can shift to vietnam or neighbouring countries they wont even be remotely possible of replicating what the Chinese can do, unless what u want is niche.

Its the biggest mistake the losers west ever made about China is that funnily, somehow China will go thru what they went thru, which is so laughable. They got the Chinese wrong for 70 years and continues to do so even to this present day.
Until they wakes up and realise what they r facing, dont expect them to pose a challenge anytime soon. EVEN when they do, theres absolutely nothing they r capable of doing that will even remotely dent the return of the Chinese empire, as they have done so many times in the past.
