Need to make it also financially easier for couples to have children , NZ has a wrap around "working for families" tax reduction for those with children , as if you have a higher birth rate from those who are contributing to the work force then there is less demand for immigration to maintain a stable population long term .
Same also applies for early child care subsidies for families .
