I didn't realise your poor daughter was a victim of violence, very sorry to hear such heartbreak stories. I vaguely recall from old memory you wrote about it many years ago.
Those are the bits of the religion I know well from what you have described that I agree with. Some of our northern neighbors practise the more secular type of Islam v the Saudis Wahabbism but the irony is that the Saudis are 'friends' of the West for selfish reasons.
Currently when politics fuse with religion, what you experience in the ME especially makes it a game without winners, the source of inter-faith frictions globally. It is interesting both Russia and China do not have such political cum religious frictions as UK.
