I totally agree with you. Surely the British police force will demand to be armed after this unnecessary and sad killing of a policeman. In my opinion, the public too would feel a greater sense of security if they knew that all their 'bobbies' were carrying a gun. There are just too many terrorists and other 'nutters' roaming the streets now to think that batons are going to save lives.
