I can assure you Ambrose that you're not so opaque that I'm struggling for comprehension. What I don't know is when Higgins made the claim that she had Aboriginal ancestry that elicited the job offer from Webster. I don't think that text exchange is when Emma Webster initially found out that Higgins claimed Aboriginal ancestry. Sequentially: At some point Webster became aware that Higgins claimed Aboriginal ancestry. Webster later approached Higgins about the job on the basis of that prior knowledge. Webster than asked Higgins who her mob were, to which Higgins responded with the quote in your post. Whether Higgins claimed Aboriginality as a means by which to fish for a job, or whether Higgins mentioned to an Aboriginal person (Webster) in incidental conversation that she had an Aboriginal ancestor, which later serendipitously led to a job offer, I don't know. There would be nothing particularly unusual about Higgins saying to an Aboriginal person that she has Aboriginal ancestry (if indeed she does have Aboriginal ancestry). Nor is there anything particularly unusual about someone in the bureaucracy approaching someone of Higgins work experience with a job offer. Reaper.

it’s just another example of making an issue from nothing , something morons like Bolt and the other knobs on Sky News excel at, and it’s dribbling fan base love to see.
