Her account is extremely compelling, particularly when the defendant has been reportedly accused of rape by another woman, or was it more than one. No matter what the outcome, the law needs to be changed in the ACT, and perhaps across the country and I do suspect Higgins is not the character that may not be on reality TV in the years ahead. I suspect she'll clear the way for law reform. Something has give. The defendant has no need to provide evidence or be cross examined. Natural justice appears to be lacking for both parties. I have little idea what the amendments to such laws should encompass, yet this is only the beginning.
