true story.......but for most of it I took a passive approach simple buy and hold stuff based on 2-3 trusted brokers recommendations......mainly because I did not have the time to research soundly for myself or watch the day to day movements of the markets in a timely manner.
However in my latter years I have become far more interactive with the up's and downs of the market place and have the time to do my own research and to watch out for poor board decisions........this is serving me well.
I have learnt TA is not voodoo and really is a great tool to help with timing your entry and exits better when you are following the markets more closely.
TA probably has less benefits for passive investors.

The best thing I have learnt is the better your research the better your results.
The next best thing I have learnt is to stay well clear of self serving management.
Self serving usually becomes a habit.

I do of course use the odd wrong word in my posts but be assured, unlike BRL, me using the wrong wording wont put this company at risk of a $40m USD lawsuit.
