BRN have openly stated that they chasing institutional investors in the US markets. Good plan in my book, rapid expansion is going to take capital. The LDA agreement runs until the end of 2023 and from this point has a minimum draw down of $30M with a provision for an additional $15M.(ish)
If BRN get their wish, where do the institutional investor get their shares from?
Retail Investors!
Some will come from the POA but at the current share price that will only be 10M shares to fulfill this year's obligation. As BRN matures, the base of its registry will shift from retail investors to institutional. Only need to look at the changes in the recent top 20 holders, its already happening. IMO, the shorting going on atm is part of that process.
Instos want in, they have been accumulating hence there are shares available for shorts. Can't see the SP getting too low, retail can still send it in to orbit in a heart beat.
This month, CEO and CFO both doing roadshows + RT doing demos. Feels like another call on LDA is close and that means good news flow.
