Well the Renasas IP deal has me excited and intrigued what the IP would be used for.

Using my advanced dot joining skills I have only come up with extreme left field possibilities.

However, all roads seem to lead to Toyota.

The wild dot joining has led me to Stradvision who are in collaboration with Socionext and Renasas (for Toyota through Denso) to develop a SoC for ADAS/AV and the teaser is Stradvision algorithms can be tuned to any hardware and are focused on sensor fusion for ADAS/AV In an interview with their CEO he mentioned the use of sparsity and quantization using tensorlite to run their algorithms on a Jetson. Now a SoC using Akida IP wouldn't need the Jetson and would lap up the quantization and sparsity and make the algorithm work even faster no need for accelerators

Long Bow I know but all happened around the time Socionext finished the Akida product

These Japanese companies seem all related Toyota Denso Renasas and have been putting capital into Stradvision
