yes Brainwave1 that is totally correct. there are (2) building working in this capacity.
2nd floor is Barometric controlled entry limited to access by a Tech ONLY to install software into Server for use by algo trding.
ALL servers have the same length Fibre Optic cable plugged into the ASX mainframe directly. 1 mm makes a big difference on info flow speeds so ALL cables are exact. period. These servers also get all trading info before anyone else and can place trades and close before you and I can even SEE the original trade info.
Level playing field huh! Benefits ASX and Algo traders.
Leased servers to Investment Banks, local banks and HFT companies. Limited servers available. All the BIG players use them.
Info was available on the ASX website at one time 1-2 yrs ago but was hidden so very hard to find. I should try and have a look for it again one day.
It was webpages setup for advertising the servers and service provided by the ASX.
