I've been trying to search out where Celera may be up to with their blood test kit for lung cancer.

Celera have stated that they seek to introduce this test in 2012.

The commercialised version of the test will either use 9 or 6 protein markers. While there is no guarantee that the MK linked protien will be in the final cut, it will be one of the 9. My speculative guess is that it is one of the 6, otherwise, why would they purchase a license from CDY?

You will have to do your own search on "Celera lung cancer test". I somehow got a single access to the following link, which has now locked me out and I won't bother to register... as the key date sits in the title.

I note that many companies are at the point of trying to commecialise a lung cancer blood test. One is even trying a breath test that makes some use of gold particles. Importantly, if any of these companies find that they need access to the MK patents to improve test reliability, they will need to purchase a licence through CDY.

My intuition tells me that 2012 could be a HUGE year for CDY on several fronts . . . not that I expect such a revelation to do much for the SP ATM.

    cheers
