I don't think many people are denying faster broadband is a perferred method. The BIG QUESTION is who should pay for it. To me private should pay and they then levy those who can make money out of it. That is how a capitalist society works. Telstra are willing to spend the $'s to install but are not allowed to levy other telco's access at reasonable recovery rates. If I have any problem with Lib's policy on this that is it. Telstra are a private company now. If they pay for the infrastracture they should should be able to recoup cost of those accessing it. I do not think government should be spending future fund on it for others to profit.
