26th of January is when Telstra has to explain to ACCC how they came up with the latest wholesale charges. iiNet will jump when the increases are tossed out as before. Telstra has to swim with the rest and get no government help. If they wish to develop new concepts then go to the customers, not cry to mummy. For the moment, broadband via copper will carry the most load from new customers, and iiNet will get their share. I can see some partnerships arising to develop the copper network as it gets competition from cable and wireless.
