    Grant62,

    Interesting , very good post.

    I do not have your knowledge of telecommunications but I must admit to having some problems with 3G.
    To my understanding 3G is all about using mobile handsets to facilitate a greater information flow to the consumer.
    My problem is twofold;
    1) The mobile phone itself is limited by its size re functionality. (In the long run if it's too hard people are not going to bother. We have seen this to a degree with narrow band and the internet.)
    2) It seems 3G is more of what we have just lived through with the internet. ie. supply before demand, massive investment followed by corporate's running around trying to think up products to shove down the network which have something more than novelity value to the consumer.

    Broadband is coming in a big way, but it's application is where we differ.
    Corporate is here and will only expand quickly.
    Consumer broadband will be home based linked to a usable outlet in the form of TV or Computer to satisfy a real need of personel logistics (working from home) or entertainment.

    Can 3G and mobiles achieve this?
    I agree with PB. HTA has taken a big gamble.

    Rob.
