The Board of Broadcast Services Australia Limited (ASX:BSA) announces
following a return to budget expectations, together with confidence of sustained
business, that the current year's operations will lead to an EBITDA of around $7 million, compared to last year's result of $4.5 million EBITDA on similar
revenue. Strong work volumes, solid forward orders and the overall industry
drivers of subscription/digital television and broadband rollouts have given the
Board confidence to give this guidance to shareholders. Telstra activities have continued to increase and combined with a restoration of volumes in FOXTEL business, have been major driver of the improved outlook.
BSA's proprietary management systems, customer focus, commitment to training and critical mass continue to give the company a competitive advantage in this
area. The Transmission Solutions division has returned to profit. In the last few months the division has won several orders from a variety of new customers,
including Fiji Vodafone and a satellite installation in Noumea. Microwave works continue at a steady pace. BSA also sees growth in the company's DSLAM related activity Investment has been made in building capabilities to position itself as one of the leading DSLAM
installation services provider in the country providing installation and design
services to many carriers. Market predictions suggest an additional 200,000 non-Telstra DSL ports will be installed by the end of 2006. ENDSIan McGregor Company Secretary
