Sadly the climate change sceptics & deniers on HC have long since placed the installation of Tony Abbott as PM ahead of any sensible consideration of our environment.

Here in Wodonga we have ongoing smoke filled air that has already plagued us for over a month - as per every year in the name of burning of the bush to lower bushfire risk & control weeds. It appears we have to burn the entire NE Vic every year just at the time when atmospheric conditions lock in the massive air pollution.

The smoke plumes are often visible via Met Bureau pics while the fallout even lowers output from our solar panels & coats our roofs in soot.

As a result local residents with lung conditions & allergies suffer badly - people like my Mum who has pulmonary fibrosis are locked indoors for weeks while most have to leave their home locked up between 6pm & 11am every day. Pretty stiff cheddar for our struggling tourist industry.

So much for studying what's actually being done overseas & a broader vision, the common good & science! The view of preference is self-serving myopia that needs to be called for what it is.
