OneSteel and BlueScope Steel will not participate in the development and maintenance of the Gorgon LNG plant, after Chevron elected to use Japanese sections and standards. Australian Steel Institute CEO, Don McDonald, said local companies had been excluded from a number of major projects in recent months.
