If the clock setting on the fax can be believed, it appears that the Magna Pacific request for a trading halt was send/received at 12:04, so 12:08 isn't particularly tardy.
Does that make it Magna's fault?
Whichever way, it was a good point, there was a fairly sizeable delay between the two companies announcements.
