Sure, Australia is not as bad as England, where difference in clothes, accents and attitudes can seem extreme.

But you only have to go to the Western suburbs of Sydney and compare that to the the North Shore of Sydney to realise that there is still a large social divide in Australian society as well. And that is before you even start digging into some immigrant subcultures.
