No government is any good at getting involved in private companies. They lack the knowledge so it never works and the bottom line is they are stealing tax payers money when they do these things. It's better just to give the taxpayers a rebate as they achieve better results with their own money than any government can ever achieve. Hence that's why governments don't own a whole string of companies.
