Has been a steep decent from the last high $81k US/T for sure.

That is an interesting site at Sunsirs, has a lot of info. In some parts they are oddly more positive than many on cobalt, mildly positive.

Cobalt has featured some wild price swings, 2016 US/T $22k, 2018 US/T $94K, 2019 US/T $28K, 2022 US/T $81K, 2024 US/T 28K, any guesses for next high.

The existing cobalt market measure up or down appears a bit secondary right now, in the near term its about the potential to get a cobalt-nickel refinery built in Kwinana. A relativly tiny project on a world stage, unsure if thats good or bad, however from the public information, Govenments both Fed and WA support the project. Funding support or guarantees may allow for a binding agreement with Iwatani and a likely value involvment from them, pure speculation at this stage.
