ok many thanks mate for the response and also being such a genuinely informative leader on this forum.
The only major point (which I wont make again) is that if DRC wasnt supplying cobalt - or even if that prospect looked like becoming likely - the EV battery industry would be absolutely forced to look for cobalt free alternatives. This is what one of the most Snr COB guys has mentioned to me in recent weeks as a worse case scenario for cobalt globally. Its clearly in our interests for Congo to keep supplying - not the opposite.
COB with a total known resource of 5m EV batteries worth of cobalt just scratches the edge of future global demand for EV's - but yes hopefully likely to grow materially through further through (1) drillings and expanding known resource and mine life, (2) potential acquisitions of neighbours (buy out RIM / CCZ) if they discover anything material and (3) clearly the exciting tailings prospect which has only been proven in a lab environment currently).
Fingers crossed we get an off take away next 2 months - I expect that as I am sure you do - and it will be a little bit of a worry if this isnt done by XMAS/NY (although I would think its unlikely ie less than 10%). An off take with say LG and VW could see a shae price well over $1+ again and going to multi year highs IMO
