The Hon Dan Tehan, Australian Government Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment led an Australia - United States Critical Minerals delegation during 29 March - 1 April 2022. The Biden Administration is making up for lost years in creating supportive public policy and incentives for US manufacturers to source raw materials.”The four-day visit was strongly supported by US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and is seeking to "get Australian and USA businesses to interact".Meetings were held with the US Commerce Secretary and various organs of the US Government, including Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, and the State Department. All meetings were well received and highlight a strong pivot towards securing critical minerals whilst developing a robust logistics chain. QUOTE
With the midterm election being held tomorrow in the US the long drawn out build up will be over which in time will create optimism in the market. Interesting how this will play out but as the critical minerals program is bipartisan should mean we are in for some positive news. The size of the market is enormous we only need to capture some of it to be pleasantly surprised IMO.
