i have a question to the community here.

could somebody explain this "ethical ESG cobalt" narrative to me in more detail? a potential partner like LG or an automotive OEM will potentially require much more cobalt than COB can deliver. so yes they can source ethical cobalt from COB, but will also need to potentially source non-ethical cobalt from elsewhere/DRC to deliver their products.

so what's really the ESG narrative for this partner then? "our cobalt is PARTLY coming from ethical sources"? that's not a very convincing narrative towards ESG oriented consumers.

maybe somebody here can help me to get this straight in my head.

i think we need to look at this from the perspective e.g. from a battery maker, and how this battery maker would tell his ESG story, given that the battery maker will require cobalt from multiple sources, including non-ethical sources.
