There’s a lot of concern about the recyclability of lithium ion batteries currently under 5% and costly as the materials recycled don’t offset the cost. European battery passport requires this to be factored in and subsidised by suppliers. Of course they are here to stay but in a green world this is a significant negative to be factored in or overcome with better recycling technology.
