SKY NEWS‘Remarkable opportunity’: Critical minerals key to India trade talksResources Minister Madeleine King has recognised the enormous growth potential of Australia’s relationship with India, highlighting the “remarkable opportunity” in trading critical minerals.
“India is a vast, vibrant democracy – part of the QUAD grouping,” she told Sky News Australia.
“A natural fit when it comes to working together on the extraction and processing of critical minerals.”
Ms King said lithium is a “very important” critical mineral traded with India.
“But the other thing is cobalt will be very important for elements of batteries, and rare earth elements form products that go into high-powered magnets, which are then also needed in electric vehicles and wind turbines,
