the market is awash with cobalt and there is no way to stop or slow the supply of cobalt to support falling prices, as indonesia is now producing significant amounts of cobalt as byproduct of nickel mining. they aren't going to stop mining nickel just because the cobalt price is off a cliff. and there is still no way users of cobalt are going to pay a premium for "ethical" cobalt without other offsetting financial incentives.
