The Maronan vent core target is supported by the absence of zinc in all previous drill intersections. The best part of the system should contain significant amounts of zinc as well.
Note that “too deep” and therefore “not economic” are overly simplistic conclusions to make. It is a vertically extensive ore body that starts at around 100m depth. The ore is also soft which makes processing less expensive.
Now that RDM has secured funding for further exploration at Maronan, the value of the asset can soon finally be unlocked.
