I think that the biggest fear with this stock atm can be explained by a valid point you raised in your last post:
"I still feel there will be a retrace on announcement day but maybe not as severe as I thought."
As a long term holder of UMC and one who has experienced the roller coaster ride first hand, I get that distinct feeling that the market is starting to notice UMC. Not so much for the anticipation of the next drilling update, but the realisation of UMC's potential in-ground assets.
This is the very reason why most of the regular posters on this thread have stood by UMC through thick and thin.
Point I'm making and one which you seem to have a handle on is that one should not look into a black hole, but to look at the whole picture.
