Earlier this month JPMorgan analyst Bram Kaplan wrote in a note to clients that commodity trading advisers were near-max short across global equity markets.Kaplan highlighted CTA positioning on index futures markets and by definition the underlying index - example S&P/ASX 200. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon also advised that his analysts are positioning for a 60% chance of a U.S. inspired global recession.JP Morgan also acquired a substantial position in CU6 while short positions in CU6 continue to grow while others begin to shows signs of stabilising. Since then the S&P/ASX 200 Futures index has rebounded 6.80 %. So who are the current ASX 200 drivers if the BEOT is (or was) positioning short the index and by definition its constituents? Professional or retail or a sheeple combination of both ?Personally I do not like price and short data spikes like witnessed today without reason. Every now and again however a stock will buck the trend. CU6 ? Time will tell. Short position last 10 trading days in horizontal bar order top (past reported) to bottom (recent reported) for CU6 and others below.
