I understand the shortfall on the last capital raising 16.6 Million @ $0.09 March 2012 was taken up by Macquarie, RBS Morgan’s & Patterson’s maybe others.

As at 13 April 33.16% of CNQ is controlled by the top 10 and there are 1,233 shareholders and just under 257 Million shares on issue.

As at July 2011 the top 20 controlled 42% but since the annual report the number of shareholders have increased by 20%.

Interesting there are 400,000 options that expire in November 12 @ $0.30 and 1,260,870 @ $0.45 also in November 12. (14 March 12 announcements)

CNQ has been understandably reluctant to use brokers in the last two capital raisings so were as brokers are aware of CNQ considering current market conditions I suggest they would be reluctant to do unpaid research.
