No, it's because the Starbucks corporation made a stand against their worker's union that advocated for Palestine when the conflict erupted. It has already dropped sales significantly so from the last quarter, especially in the Middle East where Gloria Jeans have a presence, also in Muslim majority countries such as Malaysia where there's also Gloria Jeans. I saw such stores in the Dubai Mall and KL while there last year. Starbucks was also very busy at the time, but not so today from what I've heard from people I know in those countries.
Gloria Jeans not being politically involved/affiliated is a major bonus.
