Hindenburg's report was spot on - with information sourced from Sezzle's own reports and website and Sezzle has said and done nothing to respond to it, but shorts are high after the share price has already halved, so you cannot say nothing has come from it. Hindenburg's closure had nothing to do with its Sezzle report, but its last report on Carvana was delivered just after the announcement to close. Sezzle has reported a 55% lift in income and all manner of other positives, ZIP may do too, but how the financials reveal the truth and how the market reacts is the only thing that matters. Shareholders get stuck on sales and what the company reports and unfortunately become blinded.
Trump has announced that the first of his tariffs will begin this weekend - 25% on Mexican and Canadian imported goods, and 10% on Chinese imported goods, which will put a massive burden on American consumers and add to inflation which is already maintaining itself. The Federal Reserve Chairman warned last week against any expectations of interest rate cuts and there is an each way bet that they could go up. Not much chance of them going up in Australia but there is only a mild chance they will go down
I'm looking ahead to see Sezzle and ZIPs half yearlies and more importantly how the market reacts. Could be filthy ugly or could take off
