Their data is proprietary and thus they can offer real time data access to potential clients. A significant advantage if they eventually head down this route. in my opinion, this is why I usually look at tech companies with a ten year lense. Ie, can they make enough money in ten years to make the investment worth while? So many of these companies never make a decent dollar and then get superceded by new tech. That's why showing a path to profitability (and actually getting there) is so important.

I cant see 1PG being threatened by new tech, at the end of the day the value is not in their IP/technology stack but in their data. Basically all they do is sell access to their data. Thats why no other company apart from FB can replicate what they do because they simply do not have the data.

If 1PG are successful in disrupting the HR space then I can see enough room for them and FB to operate in for targeting passive candidates. Thats my view anyway.
