    Is this the blockchain thing you were on about? Lots of folks in aus have solar panels, and sell surplus to the network. In WA the folks that signed up to panels under a deal with the govt were getting something like 44c/kwh or something ridiculous, this has now been quashed and they now get a credit on their bill, dunno how much incentive there is now for panels but no doubt a few more will take it up, especially when battery tech improves (the tesla powerwall is too expensive for most for what it does) All that being said, the idea of private folks selling their solar power rankles me. Given how much the networks cost to maintain etc, anyone wanting to do this should have to pay to do so, as in pay the network fees and what not. 2.4c is getting closer, perhaps it will go lower, but I doubt it will go lower because of peer-to-peer selling.
