Below is the broker data for Friday 6th January. Points of interest:
- OpenMarkets started net buying after being a net seller for many months
- DeuSec significant net buyer on the day. Generally has been net seller for months
- Expected a standout net buyer given the large volume and SP increase...but not apparent
- UBS started a selling campaign recently
- AusInv has increased its rate of net buying. AusInv is a subsidiary of ComSec
- The "roughly equal and opposite" relationship between OpenMarkets and ComSec has broken down recently, mainly due to point 1. above. A similar relationship has emerged between UBS selling and ComSec/AusInv net buying. I believe this supports my guess that ComSec buying is not retail alone
