Had the mistake left you short, you would expect the broker to remedy the error.
Likewise, now the mistake has been drawn to your attention, you have money in your posession which is not rightfully yours and you must hand it back.
It's a pity you didn't reconcile your account and notice the error immediately thence having it corrected.
