DJ MARKET TALK: Citi Cuts BlueScope Target, Estimates
2312 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Citi cuts BlueScope (BSL.AU) target to A$3.10 from A$3.40 after BSL reaffirmed 1H guidance of a small loss. "Like every other steel producer, BSL suggested that demand is improving, albeit slowly, something the market does not seem to appreciate," Citi says in a client note. Also cuts FY10 and FY11 adjusted net income forecasts by 6.3% to A$148 million and 8.8% to A$466 million, respectively. Keeps Hold, with stock trading at 11 times Citi's 2-year forward earnings, suggesting "the market is anticipating upgrades in coming months, and the risk is this may not happen." "We expect shares to be rangebound until more definitive macro data - positive or negative, emerges." Last trade down 1.4% at A$2.85. (ABH)
