Reading between the lines, I think Ronal's play was to gain access to CBR's processes and IP. But CBR took off after getting the first Ford contracts and didn't need them to survive.

Saw an interesting post on CBR's Facebook page recently, in the background there was a (blurry) 6-spoke wheel, and there currently is no 6-spoke wheel CBR has publicly released. Also, the new 2022/23 Corvette E-ray (hybrid) has lost some camouflage whilst testing recently - CBR wheels were on it too (same as the Z06 wheel).
